Come help clean up the Photo Arts Building that is home to the Poly Photo Club. Only by keeping this historic building clean do we get to continue to enjoy its benefits. We need to make the building sparkle for the Interclub Annual Awards on April 27, 2019.
I know this is last minute, but I was hoping by being later that I would be able to catch a few of the members that have not had a chance to do this task for the use of the building.

Arrival
The Gates open at 6 am. Use the walk in gate (free)about mid-way down the north east side of the park or drive in gate at the southern end of the park. (you can also walk in thru this gate too.
Departure
Anytime. Since Al, the Bar-B-Q man, is not going to be back in time for the event, if anyone else would like to organize a bar-b-q, please let me know. If not, suggest that we do a late afternoon early evening
dinner at Carlton Oaks Golf Course Bar and Grill.
If we aren’t doing a Bar-B-Q I won’t get the pavillion but you can use my RV spot #222 (north side of park, past the swimming pool) as a place to drop coolers or anything that you don’t want to carry around with you. You will have to text me in the park as phone service is sketchy in areas. 312-371-3234.
There is a band in the evening and you are welcome to stay and we can have a fire too.
Parking
There is street parking along the main roads thru the park. There is a lot by lake 5 and if you continue north there is parking by the clubhouse/pool. There is street parking outside the park on Fanita or Lake Canyon Blvd.
Bring with you.
Besides your camera gear, bring a hat, sunscreen, sturdy walking shoes (boots for the back country hike), water bottles (there are places to refill them) snacks, a jacket, and portable chair. If you want to
swim, bring a suit a towel. Bikes are welcome too. I’ll have a cooler with some bottled water at #222 and a table for snacks.
Wander freely around the park during the day. There are several bathrooms, although construction around the office area can make walking around there difficult Need to rest, pull up a bench or picnic table. I’ll have some chairs, water and if you want to bring snacks you can leave them at my RV. There are a few timed activities as follows.
7:30 am
Meet at the club house and Hike back on the Oak Creek trail. This is on the north side of the park. This is a more rugged area with two more lakes and better opportunity to see wild life. Wear hiking boots or
sturdy shoes. If anyone has a walking stick please bring it. You may see snakes/coyotes on this walk.
